Compressor Filter Cross-Reference: Find the Right Part by OEM Number
Every compressor service company knows the problem: the machine's manual lists an OEM part number, but your budget needs an independent aftermarket alternative. A cross-reference workflow gets you from OEM number to a fitting replacement in minutes.
Step 1: Locate the OEM part number
Check the old element's metal end cap — most OEMs stamp or print the part number there. If the element is missing, use the compressor model (e.g. Atlas Copco GA55, Sullair LS-160) and the machine serial number.
Step 2: Match the number to an aftermarket part
Search the OEM number directly — for example "1613950500 replacement" or "Sullair 02250139-798 cross reference". Quality aftermarket suppliers list parts by the OEM number they replace, so the number itself is the search key.
Step 3: Verify the three S's
- Size: outside diameter, length, and end-cap configuration (flange, spin-on, cartridge).
- Specification: filtration media and rated residual oil content for separators.
- Service interval: a good aftermarket element should meet or exceed the OEM's hour rating.
